A full set of coloured pencils is like a palette. Light-coloured, or ideally, white paper is used to maximise the colour and make the drawing bright and intense. A coloured pencil does not require an underlying structure for a stroke to adhere to the paper. It is created by binding highly-stable pigments to a binding agent, producing a professional tool for artistic use. The round body is produced with the best cedar trees endorsed by the Italian forest certification scheme (PEFC). The end of the body is immersed in colour to continue the colour of the pencil. The lead in coloured Polycolor pencils has been increased to a diameter of 3.7mm for better performance, and contains permanent pigments resistant to UV rays. They are waterproof, bright and vivid, and blend perfectly to give an endless variety of shades, hues and muted tones.
